Nongovernmental credit has slowed down

The growth of the nongovernmental credit slowed down in April, compared to the same month of 2007, to 64.4%, the value of the loans reaching 168.73 billions lei, and the foreign currency component continued its growth in a more accelerated rhythm than the lei component, according to datas of the National Bank of Romania (BNR).

The advance recorded in April was inferior to the level that was registered in March, when the growth of the companies and population credits was of 66.3%. The growth of the credit in April was of 51.4% in real terms.
