Flights. The company Jetran Air aims to cover 80% of the charter flights market in 2009 and to increase its fleet of planes.
Currently, the company operates 40% of the charter flights in Romania and has eight McDonnell Douglas aircraft, which have a capacity of 160 seats. Due to the increase of fuel prices, the company will have a profit of just 20,000 euros, while the business figure will reach 30 million euros. "I was taken by surprise by fuel prices, but next year we will transmit this risk to the customers, and to the travel agencies that are leasing the planes", said the businessman Ovidiu Tender, owner of the company. This could mean that tourists will pay more for their trips.
