Inquiry Establishes Ernst&Youg Manager Was Not Paid For Overtime

Ernst&Young, the company that hired Raluca Stroescu, the woman who died of too much work, two days ago, did not have the necessary legal paperwork and was fined  18,000 lei.

Ernst&Young breached labor legislation, as,  according to the company’s papers,  raluca was not paid overtime.

The company’s headquarter in Bucharest was under siege by journalists yesterday and employees refused talking, for obvious reasons.

The Human resource manager did not answer her phone, the press officer had her phone closed, the general manager was “busy” and Raluca’s direct boss was nowhere to be found.

Although the company representatives said they would be open for the press after Raluca’s burial, they did not keep their word.
