Feasibility study for the Ploiesti-Buzau-Focsani highway

Draft. In less than a year will be ready the feasibility study for the highway Ploiesti-Buzau-Focsani (125 km), part of the pan-European corridor IX, the announced yesterday National Highway and National Roads Company (CNADNR).

Powered by the Americans from Luis Berger, the study will cost 2.3 million euros and is financed by the European Investment Bank. The highway will be achieved through concession, and work could begin at the earliest in 2010, under the conditions in which officials from CNADNR announced that the entire pan-European corridor with a length of 450 km will be given in full use until the end of 2012. The highway that will link Ploieşti to Focsani will be further continued to Albiţa, with passage through Bacau and Vaslui. For this sector, CNADNR will launch in October a call for concession.
