Basescu loses from its power

Foreign military bases. The senators voted yesterday a law project by which the president can approve the entry and stationing of foreign troops in Romania, only if their mission doesn’t exceed six months.

For a longer period, this prerogative will belong to the prime minister or the ministry of defence, CSAT will only be informed each trimester.

The law project assumed by the parliament representatives of PNL, PSD, PC, UDMR, and PD comes after the installing of USA military bases in our country, after the “access agreement” signed in December 2005, at Traian Basescu’s initiative.
