Promotion. The Romanian Agency for Investment, the former agency in charge of foreign investment, will hire companies and experts to promote the business environment.
The new structure, which will be made up of 37 employees and will be headed by a chairman with the rank of secretary of state, will be entitled to conclude with investors, at their request, a protocol containing features that may be granted for a specific project in the form of support measures, said yesterday, government sources, quoted by Mediafax. Among the new tasks of the institution are the providing of information on business opportunities in Romania, links to government decision-making structures, identifying, together with the prefects, the most attractive locations for investment, etc. The agency must inform, every semester, to the Department of Prime the performed activities.
