President Traian Basescu asked the responsible institutions to bring back the Romanians from Gaza, which solicited for this, said the president’s spokesman Valeriu Turcan, at Brussels, last night.
He said that 31 Romanians from Gaza asked the embassy in Tel Aviv support for returning home, and the president wishes them back to the country.
According to official sources, the efforts for bringing them back are hardened by the fact that many of them don’t have money or papers and they are not listed in the registers of the frontier police as having entered Israel to get to Gaza.
The MAE spokesman, Ilie Banica, said that the Israeli authorities have opened a frontier point for the foreign citizens who wish to leave Gaza.
