Interim President Nicolae Vacaroiu To End Term

Romania’s interim President, Nicalea Vacaroiu, said that he never wanted this position and labeled his time as President as a “challenge”.

Vacaroiu made his first work visit in Pitesti, today, at the end of his interim term as Romania’s President.

"I must tell you this is not a posture I desired and it is not a comfortable situation, especially when you have such short time", he said.

Vacaroiu said that Romania undergoes a rough period of time " We are not totally integrated within the European Union. A special problem is the issue of rural area financing, developing agriculture and supporting farmers. Currently there is no bank established for carrying out the transactions”, he added.
