Near to July 1, when the Authority for Regulation in Energy (ANRE) should respond to the solicitations for the natural gas prices raise, increases the pressure made by the suppliers.
These (Distrigaz Sud and E,ON) appealed to an entire arsenal of intimidation, to force the authority to approve the increases they have asked: they have said that the natural gas deliveries can be reduced or even be stopped and that they will not complete their scheduled investments.
Yesterday, E.ON asked, again, the tariffs increase for natural gases towards the population with 24%, a week after the announcement of this figure by Frank Hajdinjak, president of the AC of E.ON Gaz Romania.
The German company believes that, at the end of the year, natural gas bought by imports will reach 600 dollars/ 1.000 cubic meters, almost double of the ANRE estimations of the import natural gas price (370 dollars/1.000 cubic meters), when it approved the increase from February 1. Distrigaz Sud's customers are paying 989.55 lei/1.000 cubic meters, and E.ON Gaz - 983.1 Lei/1.000 cubic meters.
Producers Petrom and Romgaz, that are covering almost 60% of the annual consume of natural gas in Romania, haven't asked for a new raise. Natural gas from the intern production costs 495 lei/1.000 cubic meters (210 dollars/1.000 cubic meters).
