After famous brands like Armani, Dolce&Gabbana, Prada or Ferrari entered the mobile phones industry, now it's Dior's turn.
The luxury fashion house presented Wednesday a line of phones which bares its name. The phones have prices between 5.500 and 7.900 dollars.
The terminals are produced by the French company ModeLabs, which invested millions in development and research for the new type. What is surprising at these phones is the presence of another mini phone - My Dior, which is included and can be used as remote control. My Dior has the size of a memory-stick and it is useful for the ladies that don't want to "shuffle" in their purses for their phone, according to engadget.com. The Dior phone has a touchscreen, a camera and metallic keypad.
Dior expects to sell at least 10.000 units in the first year. Some of the most famous luxury phones in the world are those produced by Vertu, a company subsidiary to Nokia. The most expensive Vertu type ever produced is Signature Cobra: 310.000 dollars.
