INVESTMENT. The Italian group Pirelli will invest in Romania in the next three years, about 250 million euros to increase the production capacity of the tire factories and anti pollution filters for diesel engines.

"The total investment will rise to 500 million by 2011, is shown in a communicate issued by the group. The Italians have invested in Romania in the past five years, about a quarter of a billion euros. The Pirelli activity on the local market will be completed by the end of the year, with the start of production of anti-pollution filters for diesel engines at the factory in Bumbeşti. The new project will receive assistance from the Romanian state worth 28 million euros.
